TrustTone Stealth for Outlook works with all versions of Microsoft Outlook. Outlook 2007 version is fully compliant with the new ribbon model for Office 2007.

As the name suggests, TrustTone Stealth for Outlook is designed for integration with Microsoft Outlook on Windows platform. Outlook Express is not Outlook; Stealth does not work with Outlook Express.

Steatlh Appliance support all email applications on Windows, Mac and Unix that work with SMTP/POP3,IMAP or Exchange email servers.

TrustTone Stealth for Outlook does not work on Macintosh. You might consider Stealth Appliance for your needs.

TrustTone Certificate Authority (CA) sends out the digital id by email as soon as the address is verified. Once the email is received in your Inbox, Stealth will automatically activate your digital id. Occassionaly the email message may get trapped in your junk folder. In that case, move the message (it is from This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) to Inbox, open it and open the attachment named Activation.knr to activate the id.

If you have not received the id, you can request it again. Use the program menu and click on Activate Digital Id. It will bring up the digital id request form. Fill it out again and submit it. Your digital id will be delivered again to you. Note that the id can be delivered only if it is not yet activated. TrustTone removes the ids from its database upon activation to provide you with better security. After activation, you have the only copy of your digital id; guard it well.

With Office 2007, Microsoft has changed the UI paradigm to ribbons. TrustTone provides a separate installation file for Outlook 2007 Stealth plugin. Please make sure that you downloaded the right installation file. Instead of the toolbar, you should see TrustTone ribbon for setting security options as shown in the picture below.

Encrypted emails sent using TrustTone Stealth for Outlook has an unencrypted cover message. Recipient click on a contained in the cover message to view decrypted email and reply to it. There is no need to download any software; Free, Web based Viewer allows viewing and replying to encrypted message.

After the digital id for an email address is activated, TrustTone Communications does not keep a copy. Therefore, it is very critical to backup your id on a removable disk (e.g. a USB disk) and keep it in a safe place. If you have the backup disk, you can restore the digital id from it on to the new computer. When the installer brings up the dialog box for requesting a digital id, click on the Restore button and it will prompt you for restoring it from the disk.
